Correspondences of Henry E. Sigerist
edited by Marcel H. Bickel
The eminent medical historian Henry E. Sigerist (1891-1957) had an extensive correspondence with a large number of his peers. Most of the letters to and from Sigerist are preserved in archives, often as a nearly complete correspondence.
In recent years Marcel H. Bickel has edited and annotated Sigerist's correspondences with 17 important correspondents. Nine of them have been published in three printed volumes (see below).
This online publication contains the eight hitherto unpublished correspondences between Sigerist and John F. Fulton, Alan Gregg, Chauncey D. Leake, Adolf Meyer, Milton I. Roemer, Richard H. Shryock, Owsei Temkin, and Gregory Zilboorg.
